CBRE boosts international residential sales team
Wednesday 22nd February 2012
CBRE has strengthened its international residential sales and marketing capabilities in the prime London market with the appointment of Matthew Cobb as Associate Director.
Based in CBRE’s London office, Cobb will be responsible for enhancing sales opportunities for clients through the promotion of prime new build schemes in international markets. He will provide the link between the London residential development sales team headed by Charles Leigh, and CBRE's global network. This will involve working closely with the international residential teams at CBRE, including Darien Bradshaw, head of international project marketing in Singapore.
Mr Cobb joins from Currell Residential where he was head of new homes and managed 16 UK residential developments totalling 393 units. His responsibilities included organising international property exhibitions, sourcing land and providing clients with strategic sales and marketing advice.
Prior to this, Cobb spent six years at St James Group, part of Berkeley Group, working in the land and sales teams.
Mark Collins, head of residential, CBRE, said: “Matthew is an exciting rising talent in residential and we are delighted that he is joining CBRE. His experience of marketing new developments overseas will be crucial as we continue to grow the team. International investors still see London residential as a safe haven for their money and will continue to purchase property for buy-to-let portfolios or as family residences. Asia will continue to be an important region for marketing and selling prime London residential units, but we are also using CBRE's extensive global network to maximise sales opportunities in new markets."
